Privacy Policy

• Enquiries and quotes. When you use Express Quote, Design Studio, a contact or callback form, a catalogue download or a careers alert: your name, company, email, phone number, project details and any reference image you attach.
• Your account. Name, email, phone number, delivery addresses, your wishlist, and a password stored only in hashed form.
• Orders. What you ordered, delivery details, and payment status. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive or store your full card or bank details.
• Saved selections. If you ask us to save your cart or Express Quote selection: your email, the products and quantities, and a record of your consent (the wording you agreed to, when, your IP address and browser type).
• Light My Room. The room photos you upload or take, and the designs generated from them. To apply the free-design allowance fairly we also use your IP address and a signature of your device and browser.
• Chat with Sparky. The messages you send to our lighting assistant.
• Usage and device data. Pages visited, device and browser type, and IP address, through analytics cookies and our server logs.

• To answer enquiries, prepare quotes, and process and deliver orders.
• To run your account, wishlist and cart.
• To send the reminder emails you asked for about a saved selection — at most three, and never after you unsubscribe, order or get your quote.
• To generate Light My Room designs and answer chat questions.
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand how it is used so we can improve it.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, and on the legitimate uses the Act allows — such as completing an order you placed. We do not sell your personal data.

Only the service providers we need to run the site, each for its own part:

• Hosting and database — our server provider and MongoDB Atlas, which store the site's data.
• Resend — sends our emails, including saved-selection reminders.
• Razorpay — processes payments.
• Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) — AI services that process Light My Room photos and chat messages to produce a design or an answer.
• Google Analytics and Tag Manager — measure how the site is used.

Some of these providers process data outside India. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

Your browser stores your cart, wishlist, saved-selection link and a few preferences on your own device, so they survive a page reload. Analytics cookies are set by Google. You can clear or block both in your browser settings; the site keeps working, though your cart and wishlist will reset.

• Saved selections are deleted automatically 90 days after you last changed or opened them.
• If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we never send you another reminder.
• Enquiries, quotes and orders are kept as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax and accounting record-keeping requirements.
• Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
• withdraw your consent — for reminder emails, the unsubscribe link in any of them does it at once;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf; and
• raise a grievance with us, and if it is not resolved, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, and access to our admin systems is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

Our services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
